Building capability in students for respectful and inclusive conversations

As the hosts of the IPE Colloquium™ event, the Australian Pharmacy Council invites you to submit an abstract for consideration in the 2026 IPE Colloquium™ event program.

The 2026 event theme will explore how we equip future health professionals with the capabilities to have meaningful, inclusive conversations that help our communities and colleagues feel heard, respected, and empowered.

Under this overarching theme, we invite presentations on case studies and/or activities that have provided opportunities for students to build skills for respectful and inclusive conversations.

This could include (but is not limited to):

  • An educational activity that has been effective in building skills in students to have respectful and inclusive conversations.

  • An effective case study based on lived experience that provides examples of best practice, that has nurtured effective and inclusive communication.

  • Guidance on how to design and implement educational tools and frameworks for inclusive conversations.

  • Case study and/or activity includes element/s of interprofessional education in relation to the abstract theme.

Who is encouraged to submit

We welcome submissions from:

  • Educators and health professionals/supervisors from any health profession

  • Collaborative teams across health professions - joint presentations encouraged

Each presentation may include up to two presenters. Additional authors can be listed in the abstract.

Funding is available for up to two presenters per presentation, covering:
